Who are we and why CPHmade

Our names are Brian Engblad and Asger Daugbjerg, we are both born and raised in the city of Copenhagen.

Today, we own a business consultancy placed in the city centre of Copenhagen. We do business for clients all over the world – focusing on innovation and sustainability through our company GlobeEight (www.GlobeEight.com).

Because of our global reach, and because Brian used to live in the US and Asger in Singapore we have both travelled the world. And we have both seen our fair share of airports and main streets on all continents. Over the years we both have built up quite a selection of fridge magnets and t-shirts from cities around the globe. Not something we normally brag about, but worth mentioning in this context because we started CPHmade because we wanted to move away from the trivial and mainstream – and instead try to find what is unique about the city – in this case Copenhagen. The city’s DNA – and particularly the products which are unique with a story that will be attracting to most.

We would love to hear from you – all comments and suggestions are most welcome. We believe that by now we have a solid knowledge of what is uniquely Copenhagen – at the same time we are also certain that there are pockets here and there unknown to us. So please share your story. It would also be great to learn what you as a foreigner find special here. Things we Danes don’t consider special for the simple reason that they have always been here.
