In Denmark we’re celebrating Midsummer tonight, and we know a lot of you guys are probably soon to be gathered with family friends around the cosy bonfire. But before you head out, we’d like you to become acquainted with a never-not-working craftsman from Brooklyn, New York.
In our series Craftsmanship Abroad, we’re now ready to introduce you to Mr. Frank Catalfumo, a 91 year old shoe maker and a World War 2 veteran. Despite his age, Mr. Catalfumo still works hard five days a week, repairing and crafting shoes for his loyal customers in his neighborhood.
Enjoy a four minute story about work ethics, and the strong will to perfect and retain the proud form of craftsmanship, shoe making.
